GOOD SEED is an American rock band that emerged from the “Garage Band” years of the 1960’s music scene in Indianapolis. Known for strong vocals and a unique blend of rock/country musical styles, GOOD SEED were among the first to create a Contemporary Christian Rock album incorporating acoustic guitars, banjo, fiddle, bass guitar, and electric piano.
Building on their contemporary roots, Good Seed signed with Village Records in the mid-70s blazing the trail for genre-crossing music incorporating pop, country, and mainstream rock into their catalog. The new album earned the band radio airplay and a well-received US tour, packing venues & clubs throughout the midwest. Now in 2020, the boys are back together! Billy Warren, Doug Adams, Chris Browning, Rick Panyard, Greg Anderson, and Rich Gootee…Lifelong good friends whose conversations pick up like they never stopped, no matter how much time has passed since being together.

Sing A New Song
"Sing A New Song" was written circa 1973 by Rich Gootee inspired by the band's love of the Colorado landscape which resulted in all of the original Good Seed band members purchasing home site lots in a new spacious land development called The Baca Grande Ranch…located in the foothills near the beautiful Crestone Colorado area.
Get Away
Good Seed traveled from Sarasota, Florida to Bismark, North Dakota with our bikes on a trailer behind the band truck. We used to close our live shows during the 70s with this fun song written by Rich Gootee. You can find 'Get Away' and other newly remastered, never released old recordings on the Light album.
Living In Love
Living In Love is the first song that Rick Panyard wrote for Good Seed around 1972. It appeared on the first album in 1973. Billy Warren, Doug Adams, and Chris Browning had not yet joined the original 4 members (Greg Anderson, Rich Gootee, Rick Panyard, and Jeff Tyler) but Chris was featured on lead guitar here and Doug played drums.
